Assignment 2 is a team assignment made up of three to four students. This assignment is broken down into two parts: a systems analysis and selection report (40%) and a systems analysis and selection presentation (10%). This assignment aims to review the AusMine case study and critically evaluate the key business problems, select an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) vendor suitable for AusMine and consider some challenges that may present the organisation. Assignment 2B: Systems analysis and selection presentation provides more information on the presentation component of this assignment.
Once you have submitted your case study team report and presentation, you will complete the Assignment 2A: Peer evaluation.

As a team of three to four students, you will draw on your understanding of ERP and apply it to a case study. The case study, Assignment 2A Case Study a new ERP for the AusMine LTD (PDF 175KB). Download Assignment 2A Case Study a new ERP for the AusMine LTD (PDF 175KB).forms the basis for this assignment. You are required as a team to produce a report answering the following tasks. As a team, you will also present an overview of your report, for further information about the presentation, see Assignment 2B: Systems analysis and selection presentation.
Working as a team to produce this report will provide you with an opportunity to hone your teamwork skills. These skills are directly transferable to workplace environments where individual, and team accountability is expected.
You can choose your team members in the 3.5 Discussion 1: Teaming up for Assignment 2. Once you have formed your team, you will be able to communicate using your Team discussion board for Assignments 2A and 2B.
