This assignment required the critical analysis of two major internal HR issues at Beach Break: (1) challenges in recruitment and selection, and (2) a fragmented, overly competitive culture in the Marketing Department. The report had to be structured with clearly defined sections, including introduction, critical analysis, proposed solutions, implementation plans, and a conclusion, all grounded in scholarly literature. The report addressed these requirements by presenting a structured response grounded in HRM theory and best practice. The recruitment issue was examined using concepts such as employer branding, job analysis, skills-based hiring, and technology adoption including ATS, underpinned by the Resource-Based View (RBV). The Marketing Department's issues were analyzed through cultural frameworks such as Hofstede’s dimensions and Schein’s model, with solutions based on Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model, engagement strategies, and cross-functional collaboration. Each solution was accompanied by an organisational implementation plan detailing activities, timelines, locations, responsible teams, and estimated costs. The report aligned all components with the assessment criteria, ensuring a logical, research-informed approach to solving business-critical HR and organisational issues.
