Current consulting skills:
Problem-solving:
Problem-solving is a critical and one of the most important skills in consultation. It has been reported by Aklan (2019) that a consultant is responsible for addressing the identified problems of the clients and should be able to effectively develop plans and ideas by proposing tailored solutions to meet the needs of the client. Therefore, I believe, that I have the quality of problem-solving, which I have developed while working as a trainee consultant at a consultancy firm in Australia.
Consultant-client relationship building and management:
Another important skill of a consultant is to develop and maintain the consultant-client relationship. According to Da Costa et al. (2020), consultants must be able to develop a relationship of consistency and continuity with the client before, between and within the projects, which results in increased efficiency and improved outcomes. I developed this skill while interacting with potential clients, to help maintain a long-term relationship with them.
Competency:
It has been imitated by the findings of Fadli (2021) that the expertise and competency of a consultant are essential success factors in management consultation, where the ability of the consulting to have command and knowledge over a specific matter depicts the level of expertise of the consultant and allows them to provide the best possible solutions to the clients considering all the relevant impactful factors. I possess this skill, as I have a keen knowledge of IT software technology solutions, that can be proposed to clients based on their specific needs.
