This assessment required the development of a business memo addressed to a CEO, accompanied by a research report. The purpose was to analyze key internal and external factors impacting people management in a business context and to offer clear, evidence-based recommendations that align with core management functions. The memo was meant to concisely summarize the main findings and persuade the CEO to implement change, while the attached report provided detailed evidence and justification. I chose the topic of AI and outsourcing, focusing on how artificial intelligence and global outsourcing trends affect operational strategies and workforce dynamics. I analyzed external factors, such as globalization, technological advancements, and social concerns, as well as internal factors, including the company's tech infrastructure and employee skill sets. In both the memo and research report, I presented key impacts, both opportunities and threats. I then developed recommendations aligned with management principles like planning, organizing, and staffing. These included investing in AI, selectively continuing outsourcing, and launching employee reskilling initiatives. I also evaluated these recommendations through a SWOT analysis to address both strategic value and potential risks. This approach fully meets the assignment’s objectives to promote analytical thinking, problem-solving, and professional communication.
