This research report required a critical evaluation of a real-world digital health solution implemented in Australia or internationally. The selected case, My Health Record (MHR) was examined in the context of its healthcare environment, intended outcomes, usability, scalability, and stakeholder engagement. The task required identification of key challenges, a literature-informed evaluation of performance, and evidence-backed recommendations for future improvement. The report addressed all core components outlined in the assessment brief: a clearly stated topic and background, a comprehensive literature review, and a structured critical evaluation. Key criteria such as stakeholder needs, system usability, data completeness, cost-benefit considerations, and adoption strategies were critically examined. Challenges, including low clinician engagement, privacy concerns, and usability limitations, were supported with current evidence. Lessons learned and strategic recommendations were discussed to inform future implementations of similar digital health technologies. The report integrates digital literacy, critical thinking, and global citizenship, aligning with the learning outcomes.
