This assignment required the completion of the methodology section of a systematic review focusing on symptoms of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) relevant for triage nurses in emergency departments. The task involved developing a structured and comprehensive methodology that included an introduction, research aim and objectives, and a clearly formulated research question using the PICO framework. A systematic review design was selected, and both qualitative and quantitative studies were considered. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were outlined, specifying adult patients with AMI and excluding pediatric cases and non-English publications. The methodology described participant characteristics, interventions, and expected outcomes. A detailed search strategy was developed using databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, and MEDLINE, with Boolean operators and MeSH terms. Data extraction and management processes were defined, followed by a quality appraisal plan using CASP and MMAT tools. The section ensured transparency, replicability, and alignment with evidence-based review standards.
