Opportunities:
I believe that by engaging myself in professional development programs I will be able to develop self-competence and flexibility, to be able to adjust in dynamic working conditions. I also believe that engaging in learning and development will help me to improve my work-life management skills. Moreover, while learning in a professional setting, I will also get the opportunity to enhance my time management skills, as I will learn from my peers, my fellows and my trainers. In this way, I will be able to meet the requirements of the NMBA standards, and it will also shape me personally and professionally.
Threats:
As per the identified weakness of compassion dissatisfaction, I believe that I might develop compassion fatigue while engaging in professional settings where I will come across different patients suffering from different diseases. According to Yu and Gui (2022, p.6), compassion fatigue results in burnout, and leads demotivation towards learning and practice. This can be a huddle which I might have to face while meeting the standard requirements of the NMBA. Moreover, a lack of time management skills can also hinder my development, as I will not be able to balance my profession and personal life.
